5 reasons why print marketing is still important

5 reasons why print marketing is still important in the digital age.

There is certainly no doubting that we’re living in a digital world where evolving technology and social media dominates. So where exactly does this leave the printing industry? You wouldn’t be blamed for assuming it’s on the decline, but that definitely isn’t the case! Here are 5 reasons why print marketing is still important.

1. Flexibility
One of the main aims of digital marketing is for the customer to ‘consume’ their message instantly. Whether that be in the form of a tweet, paid social advert, or email. While this can be an effective way of communication, it simply doesn’t offer the longevity you get with print. If you hand someone a leaflet, they can take it with them and read it at their own leisure, whenever & wherever they want. The flexibility that print offers your customers is a big pro.

2. Back to basics
One of the biggest pet hates of the digital age is email marketing constantly cluttering your inbox on a daily basis. Although this method can be a good move, it can be extremely difficult for your company to stand out from competitors. In fact, businesses are relying on digital marketing so much that they’re forgetting print, so this is a great opportunity to stand out from the crown and go back to basics & utilise print marketing.

3. Memorable marketing
The fact your customer can actually ‘hold’ print is important. Being able to touch it rather than just looking at it can result in your brand being more memorable. Think about it. We’re living in the digital age, so print isn’t as common as it once was. The key is to design your print materials to reflect your brand & company message, which will help you stand out and make your marketing effective.

4. Offline matters
We know online marketing is a key method for every modern-day business, however it’s important to take into consideration that not everyone is online or may not have the capabilities to visit your online platforms regularly. Print is a reliable way to reach your entire customer base, especially those offline, so it’s worth using both print and digital for your marketing campaigns.

5. Disconnect & credibility
In a world obsessed with digital, print marketing is refreshing. These days print marketing can give off the impression that your company goes the extra mile. With everything online, it’s reassuring to see a company make the effort to create a leaflet or flyer that you can engage with. The extra effort can go a long way when it comes to marketing, as it gives off the impression that your brand is professional and credible.
